Natalie Spear
Hi, I’m Natalie Spear — the stylist behind Cultivated Studio, serving the Colorado Springs community.
Most people think I do hair. And I do — with intention, skill, and care. But what I truly create is space.
In my early twenties, I felt a strong pull toward work that mattered — something rooted in loving and serving people in a tangible way. I didn’t expect that calling to unfold behind a chair, but over time I realized meaningful work doesn’t have to look traditional to be sacred. It happens in the everyday. In consistency. In showing up well for people over time.
Hair became that space for me.
Now in my thirties I created Cultivated Studio for those who crave peace in a fast-moving world. For people who value thoughtful conversation over small talk and want their hair to reflect their season — not just a trend. This studio is rooted in slowing down, caring for the foundation of your hair and scalp, and creating results that grow with you. Every appointment begins with intention and collaboration. You are never rushed here. We move at a pace that allows you — and your hair — to breathe.
Before opening my own space, I worked in an environment that was fast and full. It taught me so much, but I knew I wanted something different. During my first week working solo, a guest rode his motorcycle to his appointment. It began to rain, and instead of rushing out the door, we stayed and drank tea while watching it fall in the garden. That quiet moment confirmed what I already felt — slow wasn’t a step back. It was alignment.
That perspective shapes everything I do.
As a dual-licensed stylist and barber, I serve a wide range of people and styles. I’m drawn to lived in color, gray blending, women's and men's cuts, and scalp care work that enhances your hair journey inside and out. I love continued education and try to attend at least two classes a year that will enhance guests experience.
There’s a saying that only three people touch your head: your mother, your love, and your hairdresser — and I don’t take that lightly.
Outside the studio, I’m a wife to a talented general contractor who helped build this space with his own two hands. I’m a mom of three, homeschooling, tending our garden, cooking, reading, remodeling, avid learner and loving on our two Saint Bernards. The rhythms of my home — patience, restoration, growth — are the same rhythms I bring behind the chair.
If you’re looking for more than “just a haircut,” if you value depth, intention, and a slower pace, I would be honored to welcome you into my chair.
